H-Series Furnace Hardened 17-4 Stainless Steel

H-Series punches and drills are machined from solid, centerless ground bar stock and furnace hardened for maximum durability. This iron-chromium-nickel alloy couples high corrosion resistance with heat-treat capability for high strength.

Round sizes over .015" diameter can be manufactured along with oval punches in most any combination of oval length and width.

Cutting edges at the tip O.D., I.D. or somewhere in between meet most catheter hole making applications. Many sizes are in stock. Call for recommendations.

17-4 Stainless Steel Round Hole Drills

Machined from solid, centerless ground 17-4 stainless steel and furnaced hardened. Available in most sizes from .015" to .500" in increments of just a few thousandths of an inch. Several styles of cutting edges are available. Standard tip length is equivalent to the drills shank diameter. Standard overall length is 1 inch. (25.4mm)

17-4 Stainless Steel Skiving Drills

Furnaced hardened 17-4 stainless steel skiving drills are designed to cut chips from the side of a catheter leaving an oblong hole often used to access lumens in multi-lumen tubings. The cutting edge is at the O.D. and there is no through hole in the shank. Special combinations of shank and cutting edge diameters are quoted upon request.
